experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is ideal
for experienced registered nurses skilled in stepdown care to
provide critical patient support in a contract role. The position
is based in Aztec, New Mexico, within a reputable healthcare
setting serving the Four Corners region. This role focuses on
managing patients requiring close monitoring after intensive care,
including those transitioning from critical to stable conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess patients in the stepdown
unit, ensuring timely and effective nursing interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and
implement patient care plans Administer medications and treatments
as prescribed, closely observing patient responses Educate patients
and families about care plans, post-discharge instructions, and
health maintenance Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of
patient care and progress Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN license with demonstrated experience in stepdown or
progressive care nursing Strong clinical assessment and critical
thinking skills Ability to effectively communicate with patients,
families, and healthcare team members Proficiency in electronic
health records and documentation Ability to work flexible shifts,
