Spine Radiology Technologists are entrusted to apply their
education in the art of imaging, with the intent of providing
excellent diagnostic images for the treatment of injury and

because we believe in our mission. Required Qualifications:
Completion of formal Radiologic Technology Program AART (American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered NM State
Certification for Radiologic Technology Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating a
C-arm Knowledge of normal and abnormal vital signs Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) Certification Continuous cardiac monitoring
experience including identification of normal or abnormal cardiac
rhythms Invasive procedural experience involving moderate sedation
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides care during interventional
spine procedures utilizing industry standards Ascertains DNV/ISO
standards and specialty recommendations met for department
Understands the transfer and viewing of images via the imaging
storage and viewing software Understand the ordering system
Coordinate care with attending Physicians and other caregivers as
needed Maintain, clean, and re-stock procedure rooms after each
procedure and as needed Comprehensive understanding of the
medication management system May assist with and demonstrates
understanding of setting up and maintaining a sterile field
In-office transportation of patients as needed pre and post
procedure Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing
education and developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops, and
conventions to increase clinical skills. Provide professional
communication with providers, caregivers and patients Conducts self
in a professional manner Each caregiver is responsible for
implementing SJRMC’s Service Standards into their daily work:
Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship Other duties as
assigned Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
Accepts the risk of exposure to job related illness and injury
which may cause long term health problems Must be able to see with
corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance and when required
differentiate colors accurately Must be able to sit and walk
frequently or for long periods of time; must be able to stand,
bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist routinely Frequent use of the
computer and keyboard Must be able to lift greater than fifty (50)
pounds and push up to three hundred (300) pounds frequently Special
Demands Sets limits when dealing with angry, hostile or sometimes
verbally or physically abusive patients and families in an attempt
to ensure a safe, respectful environment that will support the
delivery of care Effectively copes and strives for balance when
caring for acutely ill patients and families Exposure of radiation
hazards through radiology procedures
