POSITION SUMMARY The MSR is the first point of contact for members, potential members, vendors and anyone else entering or calling the facility. The MSR effectively solves the needs and wants of individuals that walk through the doors of Defined Fitness. Displaying excellent customer service is critical and activities like greeting members, positive encouragement, and portraying Defined Fitness in a positive way is necessary for success in this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet all members and guests in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner.
• Verify membership status and respond accordingly.
• Politely and effectively problem solve the needs, wants, questions, issues or concerns of our members and guests.
• Answer and/or direct all incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Periodic walkthroughs to ensure facility is clean and safe.
• Enforce, advocate, and practice Defined Fitness rules and policies.
• Accurately process money transactions for members and guests.
• Accurately balance cash drawer and post End-Of-Day report at the end of each shift.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure a clean and safe facility.
• Maintain work area stocked and keep work area safe and clean.
• Communicate all gym concerns and member comments to club management.
• Provide accurate information about Defined Fitness facility, service, pricing, and practices.
• Provide tours for prospective members when necessary.
• Openers and closers will have club specific duties provided by club management.
• Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines and take necessary precautions to ensure safety for all members and staff
• The ability to use standard office equipment and follow simple operating procedures. QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service oriented position and cash handling experience are required.
  • Successful completion of Basic First Aid and CPR certification within the first 90-days of employment.
  • The ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service and to interact with a diverse group of people in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Possess an outgoing personality and enjoy working with people.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-pace work environment.
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve member complaints in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
  • Must be able to perform basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to improve the organization.
