face-to-face and remotely.
Tutors most commonly work with individual students, but should be

whether the tutor complies with the Tutoring Center and San Juan
College policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Tutors are evaluated as an employee, as a tutor, as a role model,
and using the San Juan College values (iCare).
Tutors should also be willing and able to refer students to
appropriate services on campus. All tutors are expected to attend
all trainings (Friday afternoons from 1:00-3:00). Tutors must track
and submit work time, time spent tutoring, and tutoring session
notes.
Tutoring is professional work, and tutors are expected to apply and
improve in the professional skills addressed in training. Tutors
must dress appropriately for a professional position. Tutors must
always communicate respectfully, professionally, and promptly with
clients, faculty, and staff.
Perform reasonable related duties as assigned.
