RTX Corporate Legal team: RTX is looking for an experienced Legal
professional who will provide critical support to the Enterprise
Services Legal, Cyber and Privacy Team. The ideal candidate will be
a highly motivated, team player with strong organizational and
interpersonal skills. As Director and Assistant General Counsel,
Cyber and Privacy, this lawyer will serve as a subject matter
expert on cyber and privacy law within the RTX Corporate Legal,
Contracts and Compliance (LCC) organization to provide advice and
counsel to RTX and its businesses on all aspects of cyber and
privacy law, as well as provide day-to-day legal support to the
Enterprise Services Risk and Resilience (R&R) organization.
What You Will Do: Advise and counsel RTX and its businesses on all
aspects of cyber and privacy law, focusing on data breach and
incident response and management, compliance, and transactions and
contracts Provide day-to-day legal support to the RTX R&R
organization, and where needed, in coordination with the
appropriate RTX LCC function (e.g., Global Ethics & Compliance,
Global Trade, Intellectual Property) Monitor and help shape cyber
and privacy laws, regulations, government policies, and similar, as
well as develop and strengthen external relationships with industry
and government partners, groups, and regulators Assist with the
development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, standard
work, playbooks, guidance, templates, and other documentation,
including RTX’s Binding Corporate Rules Develop and deliver
training on cyber and privacy law, including continuing legal
education (CLE) for lawyers and continuing professional education
(CPE) for contract professionals, as well as assist with the
development and delivery of general awareness training for
employees, contractors, and third parties Provide legal advice and
counsel on all aspects of data breach and incident response and
management (e.g., preparation, detection and analysis, containment,
eradication and recovery), and be responsible for ensuring timely
satisfaction of legal reporting obligations Review privacy impact
assessments and support data inventory activities Participate in
and support the annual privacy self-assessment program, the
internal audit testing of privacy controls, and other program
effectiveness monitoring efforts Provide legal advice and counsel
on cyber and privacy insurance matters, including on RTX’s cyber
and privacy insurance policies and program Provide legal advice and
counsel on the cyber and privacy aspects of mergers, acquisitions,
and divestitures (MA&D), including on MA&D agreements,
representations and warranties, and diligence Manage outside
counsel and vendors engaged on cyber and privacy legal matters
Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University
Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of
experience Juris Doctor Admitted to and able to maintain the
ability practice law in the U.S. Minimum of 10 years of relevant
law firm and/or in-house experience Knowledge of U.S. and global
cyber, privacy, and data protection laws, regulations, government
policies, and similar Previous experience advising and counseling
clients on cyber, privacy, and/or data protection matters
Qualifications We Prefer: Minimum 10 years law firm and/or in-house
experience in cyber and law Strong investigative, analytical,
written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a
fast-paced, changing environment while organizing and managing
multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities
and deadlines Effective team builder and team player that fosters
collaborative relationships Strong sense of ownership and
accountability and ability to make decisions efficiently and
quickly Experience working in both corporate and business legal
functions Experience advising and counseling clients on data breach
and incident response and management, cyber and privacy compliance,
and cyber and privacy aspects of transactions and contracts
Expertise in cyber aspects of U.S. government acquisition
regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, HSAR) and European privacy and data
protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIS/NIS2, Part-IS) Background
in cyber, information technology, privacy, and/or data protection,
and possession of related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CIPP) What

remote. The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800
USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
