part of the Enterprise Services – Data & AI organization within RTX
Corporate, supporting the company’s mission to develop and scale AI
capabilities responsibly and securely across the enterprise. The
GenOps Platform Engineer will design and implement the software and
infrastructure that enable scalable and secure AI applications
across RTX. The role focuses on developing APIs, orchestration
services, and observability capabilities that connect AI models and
intelligent systems with enterprise data and services. What You
Will Do: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable APIs and
orchestration services for AI and automation platforms. Integrate
cloud and on-prem AI services (Azure AI, Databricks, AWS Bedrock,
Anthropic). Implement telemetry and observability using
OpenTelemetry and MLflow. Containerize and deploy microservices
with Docker and Kubernetes. Partner with Infrastructure, Security,
and Compliance to meet enterprise and regulatory standards.
Optimize AI platforms for performance, cost-efficiency,
reliability, and security through continuous improvement and
modular IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation). Qualifications You Must
Have: Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent
experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Microservices, REST, Docker, Kubernetes Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience designing and scaling secure, cost-efficient enterprise
AI/ML infrastructure. Strong DevOps/DevSecOps background, including
CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. Hands-on development of AI agents
and Python-based APIs (e.g., FastAPI) for production use cases.
Experience with cloud AI/ML platforms (AWS/Azure), messaging
systems (Kafka/Service Bus), and monitoring/observability tools.
Familiarity with regulated, large-scale enterprise environments.
Work Location This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must
reside within commuting distance from Farmington, CT, additional

132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good
faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX
