A skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Stepdown care is sought for a travel assignment at a 198-bed, Level III trauma center located in Aztec, NM. This facility serves the Four Corners region, providing advanced medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services, including specialized units such as childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, and day surgery. Accredited for PCI, mammography, and laboratory services, it stands out as one of the top 20 most beautiful hospitals in the U.S. and a recipient of the Reputation 800 Award in Healthcare. Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality patient care in a Stepdown unit, managing patients requiring close monitoring post-ICU or pre-regular floor transfer. - Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. - Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care. - Document patient progress and communicate changes promptly. - Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards. Desired Experience and Qualifications: - Current RN license with Stepdown unit experience. - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Effective communication and patient advocacy skills. - Flexibility to travel and adapt to new environments.
