believe in our mission. Required Qualifications: Completion of a
formal Radiologic Technology Program ARRT (American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists) Registered or Registry Eligible in MRI NM
State Certification for Radiologic Technology Physical demands:
lifting a minimum of fifty (50) pounds Maintains current BLS
certification Duties and Responsibilities: Performs basic
Radiologic procedures at a professional and technical level not
requiring constant supervision and utilizing industry standards.
Understand the basic reporting system for position. Provide
knowledgeable coverage for the O.R., ICU, and E.D. departments as
needed. Understand the usage of the D.R. system, transfer and
viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. system. Understand the
ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System)
and E.M.R. system Understand triaging radiology exams and
contacting radiologist for procedures Understand use of afterhours
teleradiology system Maintain, clean, and re-stock each radiologic
exam room when procedure is completed. Transportation of patients
as needed. Adheres to SJRMC radiology dress code. Maintains
confidentiality of all hospital matters (i.e., HIPAA) Practices
good communication skills. Conducts self in a professional manner
consistent with the values of San Juan Regional Medical Center.
Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and
developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops and conventions to
increase clinical skills. Provide professional communication with
staff and patients. Each employee is responsible for implementing

Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship ?Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions: Exposure to
radiation hazards through radiology procedures Exposure to body
fluids through direct contact, IV procedures, infection and/or
contagious diseases Prolonged standing. Must be physically able to
lift move, push, or pull patients. Provide multiple and directional
guidance during procedures to patients with care and compassion.
Interaction with potential verbally abusive patients
