(must be AHA) Must-Have: Med/Surg experience preferred Description:
Backfill position available. A 198-bed, level III trauma center
providing healthcare services. The facility offers medical,
surgical, and rehabilitation services. It features a childbirth
center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient
behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging
and lab testing services. The facility has been recognized for its
quality care and beautiful environment. Located in a region known
for its rivers, golf courses, lakes, and national parks. The area
offers outdoor activities, hiking, kayaking, and historical
sightseeing opportunities. Patient populations served include
adults aged 18 years and older. Common diagnoses include cirrhosis,
sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive
heart failure. The unit has a capacity of 43 beds with a patient
ratio of 1:5 and 1:6. Equipment utilized includes vital sign
machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and
tube feeding pumps. The electronic health record system used is
Cerner. Supervision is provided by a manager and assistant manager.
Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required. Oncology
skills are helpful but not necessary. Candidates must have a
minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred. Weekend
shifts are required per policy. Float requirements will be per
facility needs. Candidates must have a minimum overall rating of
3.2 on the skills checklist.
