Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License:
Current RN license Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Must-Have
Skills/Experience: Labor and delivery experience. Postpartum
couplet care experience. Nursery experience in a level 2 nursery or
higher acuity. Description: This role is for a registered nurse
specializing in labor and delivery. The facility is a level III
trauma center providing comprehensive healthcare services. It
offers a range of services including a childbirth center and
inpatient behavioral health. The hospital has advanced operating
suites catering to various trauma cases. The community provides
numerous opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration.
Candidates must have experience performing cervical exams and
assisting in deliveries. They will be expected to provide care
consistent with industry standards and minimal supervision.
Charge-level experience is required. Fetal monitoring and knowledge
of neonatal stabilization are preferred skills. Common diagnoses
include labor, gestational diabetes, hypertension, and more. The
unit typically handles a high volume of deliveries monthly. An
appropriate candidate will thrive in a community hospital setting
with a regional mission.
