Arc Health is currently seeking three mission-driven General Surgeons to join our team in Gallup, New Mexico. We are in the proposal stage and are gathering interest from qualified providers who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to Native families. Facility Overview The facility is a 99-bed Indian Health Service hospital located on the border of the Navajo Nation. It is one of the busiest facilities in the IHS, with:

• 250,000 outpatient visits and 5,800 inpatient admissions annually
• Clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and more
• The largest staff of any Navajo Area IHS facility Location: Gallup offers easy access to hiking, camping, and national parks, and is just two hours from Albuquerque. It s also within driving distance of ski resorts and cultural attractions. The town has a population of approximately 23,000. Position Overview Role: General Surgeon
  Start Date: Dependent on award
  Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
  Call: Shared weekday and weekend call (typically 4 6 weeknights/month and 2 3 weekends/month)
  Clinic Volume: 5 9 patients/day
  Inpatient Volume: 3 6 patients/day
  Surgical Cases: /month Duties Include:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient general surgery services (bread and butter cases; no vascular surgery or C-sections)
  • Conduct outpatient clinics, evaluate and manage patient conditions, and educate patients and families
  • Prescribe in accordance with federal and U.S. Public Health Service policies
  • Participate in consultations and collaborative care with other service lines
  • Admit patients and manage care in conjunction with other specialists as needed
  • Participate in scheduled call and inpatient rounding per facility requirements Compensation (All-Inclusive):
    • $250/hour (clinical work)
    • Weeknight call: $250 flat rate per shift + $250/hour for call-backs
    • Weekend 24-hour call: $1,600 flat rate per shift + $250/hour for call-backs Requirements:
      • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Surgery
      • Completion of an accredited surgical residency
      • Any active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
      • Active DEA, ACLS, and BLS
      • Valid state driver s license
      • Ability to pass background check and meet health requirements
      • Clean NPDB report
      • The Contractor shall have a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of physician experience, and a minimum of twelve (12) in their specialty unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer.
