INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN Full Time Sign on Bonus with 2 years' experience $25K, $15,000 upon hire then $10,000 after one year, with a 2 year commitment. Required Qualifications: --- Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Program --- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered --- NM State Certification for Radiologic Technology --- Physical demands: lifting a minimum of fifty (50) pounds --- Maintains current BLS Certification Duties and Responsibilities: -- Provides care in Interventional Radiology utilizing industry standards. -- Ascertains that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the Interventional Radiology's department. -- Understand the transfer and viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. system. -- Understand the ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System). -- Coordinate care with Radiologists or related physicians as needed. -- Maintain, clean, and re-stock the Interventional Radiology procedure room when needed. -- Comprehensive understanding of the PIXIS system with bio-metric password. -- Transportation of patients as needed. -- Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops and conventions to increase clinical skills. -- Adheres to hospital dress code. -- Maintains confidentiality of all hospital matters i.e.: patient's HIPAA. -- Provide professional communication with staff and patients. -- Conducts self in a professional manner consistent with the values of San Juan Regional Medical Center. -- Each employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions: --- Exposure to radiation hazards through radiology procedures --- Exposure to body fluids through direct contact, IV procedures, infection and/or contagious diseases --- Prolonged standing --- Must be physically able to lift, move, push, or pull patients --- Provide multiple and directional guidance during procedures to patients with caring and compassion --- Interaction with potential verbally abusive patients Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
