Job Description:

Predict future membership demand, proactively set controls for managing demand, create unique membership packages, and sell memberships with a strong value proposition. Proactively study need periods and impose appropriate controls to maximize membership revenues, and ensure that once configured, maintain all systems with accurate information Identify future periods where memberships might assist in stimulating demand or should be restricted, or where promotions are warranted Provide input into market perception based on shifting trends on future demand Participate in appropriate industry and trade events that highlight Nemacolin as a golf resort destination Achieve established membership sales targets on an annual basis. -Membership Events:Predict future resort demand, proactively establish events for driving demand, create unique events, and execute events which drive need-period traffic and enhance revenues Proactively study need periods for the resort Identify periods where resort events might assist in stimulating demand Provide input into 3 to 5 major resort events targeted to drive revenue during need periods Assist in the planning, execution, and the financial impact of these events. Utilize various tools to analyze data patterns to maximize revenue and profitability Complete 30-60-90 Forecast Work closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing, Director of Golf, Director -of Revenue, Director of Spa, and Director of Marketing in establishing the elements necessary for tracking and reporting resort impact of membership and events. -Sales and Marketing:Participate in advertising campaigns by ensuring that all information is in the system, agree possible impact on demand with marketing before campaign is finalized, and ensure golf/spa/holistic healing inventory controls are appropriate prior to launch Ensure that Nemacolin's brand image is integrated into revenue management decisions in all areas of the resort. Overall responsible for accurate forecasting Develop strategy to maximize revenue and profitability in all areas of the resort through memberships and events. Establish appropriate programming with external vendors to enhance the member experience and extend the length of stay. Perform special projects and other related duties as needed or assigned by managementMember Satisfaction:

  • Monitor and evaluate member service and satisfaction in all assigned areas
  • Research and implement new ideas and activities as needed to enhance member satisfaction
  • Proactively address member needs by answering questions, assisting, and providing information regarding the resort, activities, and surrounding areas
  • Respond to all member concerns and requests as monitored through the Nemacolin marketing departmentAssociate Engagement:
    • Carry out leadership responsibilities to effectively instill vision, drive engagement, and manage personnel in accordance with Nemacolin policies and applicable laws.
    • Interview, hire, train, and build teamwork among associates
    • Plan, assign, and direct work to drive efficiency and attainment of department goals
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with associates with effective communicate through monthly staff meetings, daily department lines ups, one-on-one feedback and encouragement - when necessary, utilize appropriate performance improvement plans or disciplinary action.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
      • Bachelor's Degree in a Hospitality or related field.
      • Minimum Four (4) years sales and/ or event experience preferably in a golf resort.
      • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Strong knowledge of golf, activities, spa, events, and related services.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers exercising patience, tact and diplomacy.
      • Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
