a full-time Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at our
Gallup offices. We offer a competitive salary range from $45,000 -
$55,000 (BOE) and the Benefits shown below. Experience working in

staff and their immediate families Summary:Under the supervision of
the CCBHC Director (McKinley County) and in close coordination with
the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Clinical Officer, the Crisis
Intervention Specialist is a mental health counseling professional
who coordinates 24/7 crisis services for individuals going through
high-stress situations. The crisis intervention team is a
multidisciplinary team that conducts intakes, evaluations, and
referrals for people experiencing crises in coordination with New
Mexico's 988 behavioral health hotline dispatchers and local first
responders. Duties and Responsibilities of the Crisis Intervention
Specialist: (Included but not limited to)You'll report to the CCBHC
Director and:Works as part of a multidisciplinary team serving
individuals with serious mental illness in acute crisis who are
high risk, in addition to those diagnosed with intellectual and
developmental disorders and substance use or co-occurring
disorders. Handles mental health difficulties such as suicide
ideation or attempts and prevention of self-inflicted injuries.
Responsible for overseeing the process for assessing client
behavior, documenting their behavior, and making decisions in an
individual's best interest that is carried out by an
interdisciplinary crisis response staff.Provides specialized
services such as assessment for temporary detention, evaluation for
hospitalization, and critical stress management. Uses appropriate
interventions during overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts, as
assigned, to serve individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and
cultures experiencing a wide range of clinical presentations and
service needs. Completes pre-detention and pre-admission evaluation
forms in accordance with SFRC protocols and policies. Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExcellent customer
service skills demonstrating compassion and patience. Awareness and
sensitivity of the organization's constituents. Detail-oriented,
able to multitask, a team player, and has great organizational
skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to write comprehensive clinical notes. Familiarity with
other community-based organizations. Works well with diverse
populations. Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in social
services, psychology, or related Human Services field. Experience
with co-occurring disorders, conducting risk assessments, making
rapid differential diagnoses, and providing crisis intervention
from a recovery-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered lens.
Bi-lingual/bi-cultural (Navajo/English) preferred.Must have and
maintain a valid New Mexico driver's
